Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) is a powerful detergent and surfactant utilized in various commercial shampoos to effectively eliminate dirt, oil, and other impurities from hair. It is also a frequently employed component in household cleaning products, paint remover, and dishwasher detergents. It is far too harsh to be used on your wonderful locks.
SLES was developed as a softer alternative to its cousin SLS. We believe along with many others that it is still far too harsh for our hair.
Although it is delightful to have the pleasant aroma of one's preferred shampoo lingering after a shower. The repercussions of chemical fragrances, also known as "parfum," are quite scary. Research has demonstrated that chemical fragrances can function as endocrine disruptors, altering and impairing the levels of specific hormones such as estrogen and testosterone.
PEGs frequently contain impurities such as ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane, which can pose some serious health concerns. Furthermore, polyethylene glycols amplify the permeability of these toxins through the skin, making it simpler for them to enter the bloodstream and cause toxicity.

Parabens possess a perilous capacity to imitate estrogen, resulting in a hormonal imbalance associated with mood swings and tumor growth. We try to grow as many ingredients as possible, failing that we source as locally as we can and if we do import ingredients we do our best to ensure we use small, family owned businesses, like ours.

Broccolli Seed Oil
The O'odham people, who are indigenous to the Sonoran Desert, North America used jojoba oil to prevent hair loss and promote healthy hair growth. Broccoli seed oil contains a high concentration of erucic acid, which can help to protect the hair from damage caused by UV radiation and environmental pollutants.
Rosemary Oil
In medieval Europe, rosemary was believed to have properties that could prevent hair loss and promote hair growth. Rosemary oil has been shown to stimulate hair growth by increasing blood circulation to the scalp and hair follicles.
Jojoba Oil

They would mash up the avocado fruit and apply it to their hair and scalp as a hair mask. Bentonite, French Green, White, Rhassoul Clay
The ancient Greeks used green clay by mixing it with honey and olive oil to create a hair mask that they believed could help to strengthen and nourish the hair. Clay can help to reduce dandruff and flakiness by balancing the scalp's pH level and reducing inflammation.

If you have recently bleach died your hair, our shampoos will remove the silicone & micro-plastic ingredient's present in the salon products that were applied. Naturally, your hair will then feel dry & brittle because our shampoo removed the artificial shining and conditioning agents. So please be advised.

Although our product is not tested specifically for children, we have shampoo 'Autra' which does not have any essential oils and is suitable for children
No, we use only natural oils and gentle cleansers such as SCI & SCS which are coconut oil derivatives (you can learn about them on the shampoo product page). However, if you have been using chemical treatments in the past and continue to use silicone containing shampoos or conditioners. Then you will experience a drastic change in the look & feel of your hair. Our shampoo will remove the silicones that are coating your hair & providing artificial slip & shine. The process of changing to a more natural hair care routine is a slow one and i recommend you contact us 1st to discuss your particular haircare history so we can advise you.
